The best just got better…..the leading plastic fire retardant sack holder in the UK has just Evolved!

What will make the new EHP Ultimate Evo Sack Holder the best on the market in 2013?

Fully Plastic Sack Holder – Plastic Lid, Plastic Body, Plastic Base, Plastic Pedal

This is a fully plastic sack holder in standard form so no corrosion even after scratching – some sack holders on the market are metal and coated. This leaves them open to scratching and corrosion. Not the EHP Ultimate Evo all plastic. There is the option of stainless steel base and lid at no extra cost.

Solid self contained sack holder body:

The body is solid and self contained so no leaking – or chance of leaking. Some other sack holders have drip trays and removable bodies but this still leaves a chance of spillage. Not the new Ultimate Evo.

Fire retardant:

Fire Tested to be fire retardant to Health Technical Memorandum HTM 05-03 Part A Fire Safety in the NHS. Should a fire start (or be started) in an Ultimate Evo Sack Holder the lid will close and extinguish it.

NEW Easi-clean2 Design:

With the new Easi-clean2 design the Ultimate Evo is designed to aid (hospital) infection control. No internal lips or gaps making this exceptionally easy to clean quickly and effectively.

Robust design with a 5 Year Warranty:

The new Easi-clean2 design is highly robust for NHS and Industrial applications and this allows EHP to provide a 5 year warranty on all Ulimate Evo sack holders.

EHP “Off the wall” design:

As the first manufacturer to introduce this design feature we carry it over to all of our sack holders including the Ultimate Evo. It amazes us we still see hospitals and facilities with bins that damage the walls. Apart from the huge repair costs it’s an infection control hazard to have impossible to clean holes in the walls. This is one instance where a small cost saving buying a cheap product always costs more in the long run.

 EHP “Rounded corners” for safety:

As the Premium Metal Range of Sack Holders the Ultimate Evo is designed with usability and safety in mind. Rounded corners reduce the chances of someone hurting themselves on an EHP sack holder. The sharp corners found on some sack holders make them into dangerous objects to have sitting around corridors and rooms especially in Hospital areas like A & E.

New plastic “Stability-pro” Base:

The new “stability-pro” base is designed with increased stability but is lightweight to aid manoeuvrability. It is also designed to produce a low footprint for space saving.

Easi-access Pedal

The Easi-access pedal specification on the new plastic “stability-pro” base makes this sackholder one of the most usable on the market. The pedal to operate the lid can be operated from the front or side on. Many alternative sack holders can only be operated from directly on the front reducing their usability and accessibility.

 Hands free Operation:

The hands free designed Easi-clean2 body and lid removes the possibility of opening the bin by hand – it is foot operated only. This reduces the chances of the spread of contamination and infection.

Silent closing:

The Ultimate Evo sack holders come with a Silent Closing lids as standard. Silent Closing does not just reduce the noise of the lid closing it but also helps with infection control by reducing the chances potential dispersal of bacteria caused by the air disturbance create by the lid closing quickly.

The Ultimate Evolution Sack Holder will be available in 20 litre size replacing the groundbreaking original 20 litre Ultimate Sackholder released in 2009. 50 & 70 litre sizes will follow as well as a Front Opening version.

Waste Stream Colour Coding:

The Ultimate Evolution range is available with lids coloured to your specification. All the colours required to meet the NHS Health Technical Memorandum HTM07-01 are available at no extra cost.

Plastic lids are available in White, Black, Yellow and Orange.

Stainless Steel option lids are available powder coated in White, Black, Yellow, Orange, Red, Purple, Blue, Green & Tiger Stripe.

The body of the Ultimate Evolution body is only available in white.

The plastic “Stability-pro” base comes in black and the stainless steel base option is self coloured.

Easi-clean Bungee Bag Holder:

EHP bungees are specially designed to be easily cleaned due to a special sheathing (containing polyester, nylon & multifilament polypropylene). Designed to sit around the outside of the top of the sack holder and hold the bag in place

Stainless Steel Option:

The new Ultimate Evolution range is available with Stainless Steel lids and Bases rather than the standard plastic versions. This was the original specification of the “Ultimate Sackholders” when released back in 2009 so with this specification the Evo is a direct replacement for the Ultimate Range.

EHP sack holders are used across a wide range of industry sectors. The requirements to be an NHS Approved sack holder bin make this product ideal across a wide range of areas. Lightweight, strong and robust, fire retardant, infection control design and a 5 year warranty make this an ideal option for waste management.

The original Ultimate Plastic Sack Holder range can be found here:

Hospital Infection Control & Hospital Waste Management; Waste Station Bins & Sack Holders

NHS Approved Domestic, Offensive & Clinical Waste Stations

This range has been developed to help meet the needs of companies in both the public and private sector that have an interest in infection control and waste management. Hospitals that are keen to implement the requirements of HTM 07-01, the Dept. of Health’s guide to the safe management of healthcare waste. HTM 07-01 has brought in more colours to the now widely adopted colour coding scheme creating a requirement for more bins.

To assist with this we have developed two Ward Waste Station products, an all-new Mobile Waste Station and to help with carbon foot printing issues, the EHP Recycling Waste Station. The Ward Waste Station is available in different configurations to meet the NHS Trusts requirements. The ‘along the wall’ configuration has been design so that as many or few receptacles for each stream can be added. This spaced saving design helps meet the needs of HTM 07-01 without taking up precious floor area in healthcare establishments.

The ‘along the wall’ Ward Waste Station is made up of individual bag holders for each waste stream. These can be made to accept the NHS standard 20, 50 and 70 Litre bags and can include space for up to six different waste streams. The central Ward Waste Station can be up to a ‘six in a block design’ allowing easy access to each of the bad holders from any angle. It is expected that this will be seen primarily as a central waste collection point for a ward or clinic.

To further meet the requirements of the HTM 07-01, the bags are not allowed to touch each other so unlike some other products on the market, each of our bag holders is a fully enclosed receptacle in its own right and doesn’t share one base or one lid with the others. This helps with hospital infection control along with dealing with hospital waste management.

The sack holders used to create these Waste Stations can be found on this page:

Recycling Waste Station

The company is also introducing its commercial recycling waste stations. These have been used in commercial, factory and hospital areas. In the NHS these can meet its recycling obligations which of course helps with reducing a Trust’s carbon footprint. The recycling stations are designed to take clear bags that show the user what rubbish goes in what bag but at the same time keeping the bags apart. As part of the reinforcement of HTM 07-01, EHP also provides a full labelling service for both its waste stations and single bins. The company can provide labels for each waste stream for fitting to the bins or stations and can also supply ‘picture only’ labels when needed
